#2526 - Installation issue : no prompt to enter CRM domain

In Progress Installation created by alainrondenbosch Verified Purchase 11 months ago

As the SuiteCRM button idid no more appear in my Outlook Menu bar (most likely, because I stopped one of my 2 add-on subscriptions), I tried to reinstall to from scratch.
I first removed it from my contral panel, and then tried a reinstall, which worked fine, excepting that the popup to prompt the CRM domain did not open.
So I still have no SuiteCRM button in my Outlook menu.

      Hi there,

      Apologies for not getting back to you. Can you confirm your issue is the setting button in the menu of outlook is missing for SuiteCRM Outlook Add-in?

      I do not see any SuiteCRM entry in the Outlook menu any more
      - nor in the menu appearing after a right click on a email
      - nor in the outlook options (in the French version, I guess its the settings menu in English)

    Is the plugin visible within the "COM Add-ins" menu found within the file tab?

    yes, the pugin is visible in the COMM Add-ins menu but with the message that this add-in did slow the startup of Outlook and was subsequently disabled with an invitation to contact the add-in supplier.

    Could you please try the following steps below which will take you through how to resolve most of the issues you are describing,

    == STEP 1 - Allowing the plugin ==
    On your PC, navigate to "Start Menu" and search for an application called "Regedit" or "Registry Editor" and open it,
    When loaded navigate down the following path;
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Software > Microsoft > Office > 16.0 > Outlook > Resiliency > DisabledItems
    Within "DisabledItems" remove all registries other than the (Default) by single-clicking each one or group highlighting them (By dragging or Ctrl+Clicking) and hitting delete and confirming by hitting "Yes".

    At this point, please restart or open outlook,
    If the SuiteCRM tab doesn't appear within the navbar try step 2,

    == Step 2 - Enabling the Plugin==
    Navigate to File > Options > Add-ins
    At the bottom of the page ensure "COM Add-ins" is selected and hit GO
    Find "SuiteCRM Outlook Addin" and tick the box next to it.
    Hit OK
    You should see SuiteCRM at the top of the page

    If for whatever reason this isn't the case please get back in contact with us by raising a case or update your existing case on the store and send a message containing your logs set to debug to outlook[at]salesagility[dot]com quoting your case number where we can help you troubleshoot the issues you are experiencing

    Tonight, after shutdown and restart of Outlook, my SuiteCRM addin was disabled again ...
    I can't apply the fix you gave me each time I closed and restart Outlook.
    What can be the cause of this issue ?

      Hi there,

      Is this consistently an issue? If so I'll add this to the tracker as a bug as generally, this issue is non-repetitive. Does reapplying the fix allow the use of the plugin again?

      I juste tried to execute your fix procedure again (removed the entry in regedit and reactivated the add-in in OUtlook) but unfortunately , the SuiteCrm entry does not come back in the outlook menu. Which logs are you waiting for ? How should I activate this ?
