#5411 - Problems with Plugin Installation

Dear All,

We recently downloaded the plugin and we are trying to install and use but we experience difficulties. We followed the documentation and the plugin installation phase was completed with no problems. We proceeded to the Outlook installation phase. We generated the manifest.xml and then we tried to install the add-in following Microsoft instructions from this address:

Following their instructions, we used this address https://aka.ms/olksideload to manually install the add-in from manifest.xml file

During the installation we got an error that the server address that hosts SuiteCRM had to be https://domainname/suitecrm The server that hosts SuiteCRM is a vm in our local network with no ssl certificate. To overcome this problem we set up a subdomain that points to the local vm and got a valid certificate for the subdomain. After the appropriate redirections our SuiteCRM installation seems to work fine from https://subdomain/suitecrm

We changed the config.php file accordingly : 'host_name' => 'subdomain', and 'site_url' => 'https://subdomain/suitecrm',

We did quick repair and rebuild and regenerated the manifest.xml file. The new manifest file has proper addresses https://subdomain/suitecrm/... The installation of the add-in proceeded with no error messages and the add-in appears in the list of added custom add-ins. (See the attached pictures) On the home ribbon of our outlook desktop application i can see the SuiteCRM button Authentication/Archiving but it is greyed out - we can do nothing with it.

Our System Information is Suite Version : 7.13.3 Office Outlook : Microsoft 365 MSO (Version 2406 Build 16.0.17726.20078) 64 bit Email Server : Microsoft Exchange
