#4277 - reinstall SuiteCRM plugin on Windows 11 with Outlook 365 - reuse licence?

Closed Installation created by excentos a year ago

Hello dear SuiteCRM team, I purchased a SuiteCRM Outlook PLugin license and successfully used it on one PC. I now received a new PC and would like to use the license there. Is there a way to transfer the license to the new PC? And in any case, will it work with Windows 11 and Outlook 365? (Installer seemed to work and addin exists, but due to license key I could not test it yet). Thanks!

Are you using version 3 or 4 of the plugin?

Hello, I am using version 3.0.18.0 of the plugin. Where could I download version 4? And if yes, would my license be applicable for v4? Thanks! Ole

    Hi,

Your licence keys for v3 will be converted to use with the new v4 Plugin version Steps to follow: 1. Disable Version3 2. Install the latest version through the module loader. (Admin->Module Loader) 3. Once the package is installed then you will need to configure the outlook settings.

Hello and thanks for the installation guide link. Can you please help - I was also asking for the download link of the files / installers. Both for backend installer, and for Outlook plugin. Thanks!

The V4 plugin can be downloaded from your purchase history in the store. There is no longer a standalone installer for the outlook side, please check the previous instructions which explain how to setup outlook with this new version.

Hello and thanks for your reply. I was able to install it on SuiteCRM server, and also add the Add-In to outlook web. I then, however, had a problem to authentica (see my comment of today in issue 4195).

By the time my quesiton in 4195 is replied to: I am also looking for the Add-In for Outlook 365 Desktop. Where can I find the installer for Outlook 365 Desktop Add-In please? Thanks

The office desktop should use the same add-in as the web based version. Please refer to the previously provided instructions

Hello and thanks for your reply. Could you be a little more indicative please? I did not get the web-based version to work since there seem to be URL / API problems. Thus, I want to get the Desktop version to work. When I download the file from the purchase history, I get a file "SuiteCRM-Outlook-Plugin_4.0.1.zip". Also after unzipping, there is no installer (no .exe or .dll). So how can I get the plugin installed for Outlook Desktop? Thanks, Ole

The desktop version also relies upon the same API. When installing the plugin to the desktop version you should use the same Manifest file downloaded from the CRM as you would when using the web based version.

OK thanks for your reply. So is the manifest.php the desktop installer? How do I execute it, or which file do I have to execute in order to launch the installation process? Many thanks

Hello, can you please advice? I still don't know which desktop installer (executable?) file to use to get the plugin installed for Outlook365 desktop? Thanks, Ole
