Can you provide an update on this issue, we are having the same issue. When do you expect to provide a fix for this?

You closed this task but v8 is not listed as a supported version: Works on versions 7.10.10 to 7.13.1

No, we start our environments as described above via docker-compose, then we have a clean environment where we can do our tests and afterwards we remove it again. If you run the docker command above you will have the same environment as we use on your local PC.

It is a local test installation using the bitnami container in version 7 running on php8, just run the following comman and you have a clean and empty environment like I have:
curl -sSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/bitnami/containers/main/bitnami/suitecrm/7/debian-11/docker-compose.yml > docker-compose.yml docker-compose up -d
More documentation you can find here: https://github.com/bitnami/containers/tree/main/bitnami/suitecrm

Does this mean I can not use Outlook-Plugin and SAML authentication in parallel at the moment?

Is it possible to use the Outlook Plugin with username and password while using SAML authentication for the UI? I think in this case the user need to create a password in the system after the logged in via SAML, is this possible?

I think this issue breakes the API: https://github.com/salesagility/SuiteCRM-Core/issues/185 Going back to an old bitnami image running on php7 the API works again. But php7 is no longer an option because it is out of support since 12/22.

Unfortunately there is no system you can access. We are doing our test based on the bitnami container. As described earlier it is very easy (and very fast) to spin up a test environment by staring the images (e.g. with Docker Desktop) installing the plugin and go for test. Afterwards you can throw everything away because you can easily start from scratch and ramp up a new test environment based on the same container again and again. This means we are testing your plugin on a clean environment without anything else. I would appreciate if you give it a try to launch the container and try to install your plugin on it.
Can you confirm that your plugin runs also on top of php8 because this is from my point of view the main difference between our test environment because you said you tested with php7 (but php7 is no longer an option for us because it is out of support).

You closed this case, does this mean SuiteCRM v8 is now supported? I can not find a new download.

The installation of version 1.1.5 works on my test system (Version 7.12.8 with php8). We will have a closer look now.

Unfortunately not but with some docker experience you can build up the same test scenario I am using. All you need is a docker runtime (e.g. docker desktop if you are on Windows with WSL) and you can start up your test-server with:
$ curl -sSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/bitnami/containers/main/bitnami/suitecrm/7/debian-11/docker-compose.yml > docker-compose.yml $ docker-compose up -d
You can find more documentation here: https://github.com/bitnami/containers/tree/main/bitnami/suitecrm

The reason for this question is to understand the general options we have and which approach is better/easier. Install Magento to SuiteCRM v7 and migrate later the full system to SuiteCRM v8 or to migrate SuiteCRM v7 to v8 first and install Magento plugin afterwards. In case you provide a migration scenario both should be possible, right?

Unfortunately I can not provide you access. However you can run the bitnami image of SuiteCRM v7 with this commands (having a linux with docker and docker-compose installed):
$ curl -sSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/bitnami/bitnami-docker-suitecrm/7.12.6-debian-11-r21/7/debian-11/docker-compose.yml > docker-compose.yml $ docker-compose up -d
After that you can open the page via localhost in the default on port 80 (if you did not change the docker-compose.yml).
Can you please confirm that you tested also with php8? php7 is since 12/22 out of support and we have already experienced issues with other add-ons running on php8. The bitnami image is also using php8.

We are testing with the bitnami docker image, here you find more details: https://github.com/bitnami/containers/blob/main/bitnami/suitecrm/7/debian-11/Dockerfile
Currently php-8.0.2 is included in the image.
As database we are using is MariaDB 10.6 (using https://github.com/bitnami/containers/blob/main/bitnami/suitecrm/7/debian-11/docker-compose.yml in our tests)

Based on the official page version 7.x is no longer supported and reached its end of life in 12/22 (https://www.php.net/supported-versions.php). Downgrading to this version does not seem a good idea running an internet facing web page. Are you going to support also php8? I expected that SuiteCRM itself will also remove the php7 support soon.
