#316 - Feature to Create a case / task?

Hello,

I'm looking for a functionality that lets me quickly create a case / task out of emails
From the looks of it this plugin only synchronizes contacts / calendar items and archives emails?

Would it be possible to add a feature to create a Case or Task out of any email ? (alternative CRM's such as Zoho do support this, which is a great feature saving tons of work).

    Hi Marco,

    Standard SuiteCRM functionality allows you to create Cases by sending to an email account that SuiteCRM will monitor and create Cases from. However the plugin does not allow you to create Cases vi a the Email itself as SuiteCRM already provides you with that ability.

    Please see how to set up Inbound Email to create Cases with OTB functionality here.

    However I will keep it open as a possible Feature specifically for this plugin.

      Thank you for your reply.
      Actually i know you can create inbound mail to automatically create cases. (although i must admit that one only works proper if the one sending the email is in your contacts list inside the crm, without it it seems to not send any email, update, etc to the case to the one who submitted it).

      However those email addresses you generally don't have in outlook. (but are more global ones like sales@ )

      In our particular case: We have global as well as individual mailboxes.
      It happens plenty of times where the individual mailboxes are having direct conversations / leads / cases (especially between management teams b2b)

      In such cases it's very nice where they can just tag it into a case / lead / etc in the system so it's available for everyone (and most importantly isn't forgotten and buried between 100's of other mails that come in every day).
