#4631 - activating outlook plugin in outlook
Up to this point, I have successfully installed the available outlook plugin in CRM but It seems like the plug-in for Outlook 2013, on premise install, does not work as Outlook expects an .EXE file.
Could you please advise? Thanks, Hans

Hi Hans,
Please refer to the documentation here: https://store.suitecrm.com/docs/SuiteCRM-official-outlook-plugin
The minimum supported outlook version is now 2016

Hi Hans,
Are you using a Microsoft email account? (other providers e.g gmail, yahoo etc are not supported)
Your desktop version of outlook needs to connect to a Microsoft exchange server, either on premise, self hosted or part of the office 365 suite to enable Outlook Add-Ins

Please check if Add-ins are available using the following steps:
In Outlook, click Home > Get Add-ins on the ribbon.

Hi, Been there, done that. There are a number of add-ins available there. None of them is a suitecrm add-in. At 'get add-ins' at the ribbon, Outlook is expecting an .exe file. The plugin does not have that.

Hi, sorry that I get no response on this issue. I have quit the trial and will try to find a working solution somewhere else.

Hello,
Apologies for the delayed response. Our documentation is currently being updated to reflect the Outlook Desktop Application. Below is a link to a resource that should help you add custom Add-ins to your Outlook Desktop App. Please scroll to "Figure J" on the page for instructions on how to add the .XML file.
