#4247 - Unable to authenticate

Closed General Question created by paul8 2 years ago

I have followed the setup instructions and installed the plugin into outlook. I am getting "Client authentication failed - invalid password" when I try to authenticate in the plugin. I have verified the user name and password I am testing with. I have also verified that the user is assigned a license for the plugin SuiteCRM. I'm not sure what the next step is for troubleshooting.

    Hi Paul,

Please ensure your API V8 has been configured correctly. Here is a link to assist you: https://docs.suitecrm.com/developer/api/developer-setup-guide/json-api/

This was all configured already. We discovered that the problem is that we are using LDAP authentication for our domain accounts. Should this work? Is there something we should be doing differently there?

Unfortunately the module is not compatible with LDAP at the moment
