#422 - calendar sync
I am not sure if its a bug or what, but I am not able to get calendar sync work at all.The last I got was that I needed to configure SuiteCRM to allow your Outlook users to import calendar events. But this is not described in any of the documentation, so I am still not able to use this addon

Hi Kent,
Yes you have to set your Roles of a Group of Users to allow them to Import/Export Meetings/Calls/Contacts/Tasks in order to use the Calendar/Contact sync.
Is the Synchronisation setting for the Calendar events set to 'Both', 'From SuiteCRM' or 'To SuiteCRM'?
We'll update the User Guide accordingly to make this more clear for users.

Hi, I have tried everything as far as I know, but still the log says "AppointmentSyncing.SynchroniseAll not synchronising Meetings because export access is denied" I made a role and and set all access to "All". I added my user to this role. What more can I do? PS: I am working with the admin user to test this, not sure if that can cause any issue?

Any possibility to get some help on this. I am getting to a point where I need to find other solutions. Can anyone recommend an alternative to this Outlook plugin that has calendar sync?

Hi Kent,
Can you send your suitecrm.logs over to us at outlook[at]salesagility[dot]com - these would be at fatal level (which is default). We believe that it may be a query failing which returns an obscure warning - Access Denied.

I sent you an email 28.06. Have you guys seen it and what is the result from it? I am also resending today

Hi,
exactly the same here.
Sysnc does not work except for Calendar entries. No contacts sync possible, seems to be the same error message as kent's

That's not what I paid for....
@kent do you still loose plugin settings (license key etc) in outlook?
Today I lost settings again. Yesterday worked well. Started this morning with 'Key required' error. That sucks...

Hi Olaf,
We are currently investigating this issue and will provide you with an update as soon as possible.
Hi Olaf we had to leave the plugin since we never got it working the way we wanted unfortunately. I hope in future there could be some support that would assist remotely, at least as a paid option. It would have helped a lot
7 years ago
Any updates? We havent left the plugin yet and would like to see if you find a solution here?
Hi Kent,
After some investigating it appears that this issue is on the CRM side of things, specifically, "export access is denied". This issue has also been raised in ticket #448. Unfortunately I can't give you a date as to when this will be fixed but we are looking into possible solutions.
Thanks.

In the case #448 it says you are waiting for some logs. Did you get this from the other client? Does this mean that you actually dont have any customer using this add on to sync calendars to Outlook?
Hi Kent,
The logs received from #448 showed the same problem also present in your issue. This issue does not affect all users of the plugin and has so far only been raised in these two tickets.

Our apologies, this was an internationalisation issue. It's fixed in release 3.0.9.
