#5769 - Automatic Outlook/Azure email sync not running after upgrade to SuiteCRM 8.8.0 (manual sync works)

after a recent upgrade we’re seeing an issue with the Outlook/Azure sync running only when triggered manually.

Environment

SuiteCRM Version: upgraded from 8.4.0 to 8.8.0 Deployment: migrated from Bitnami Stack to Ubuntu Server Outlook Plugin: [4.0.0] PHP: [8.3.1] Web server: [8.3.6] Database: [MySQL/MariaDB 10.11.13]

Issue Summary

When users go to Administration -> SuiteCRM Outlook Plugin-> Azure Sync and trigger a manual sync, emails sync successfully. Automatic sync does not run, even though the cron job is configured and the relevant Schedulers are enabled. What Actually Happens No automatic sync occurs. No new emails are synced unless a user manually triggers Azure Sync from Administration. Current Configuration / Checks Cron job is present on the server and points to the SuiteCRM scheduled jobs.

User: [www-data] Frequency: [ */2 * * * * cd /var/www/suitecrm/public/legacy && /usr/bin/php -f cron.php > /dev/null 2>&1] Schedulers page shows the sync-related jobs as Active/Enabled.
