#980 - Sync To Outlook Mass Update

Closed General Question created by mello 6 years ago

We are rolling out the plugin. We're looking to sync Contacts from SuiteCRM to Outlook. However, none of our contacts have the Sync to Outlook button checked. We have literally thousands of contacts in our system. Is there a way to mass update these more than 20 at a time?

    Hi there,

If you have added the 'Sync to Outlook' button already available in the Mass Update section then you can select all (not just the 20 per page limit) via the Bulk Actions button. However for speed and not to trigger additional calls you could do a SQL query directly to the database but that would need to be executed by your database manager or someone who's familiar with databases.

Hi, The 'Sync to Outlook' button does not appear in mass update for me. Please can you explain how to add it, or where the correct column is in the database. Thank you

I can definitely run this query. However, I'm having difficulty locating the database table that contains the column to modify. I do not have user_sync or anything that would resemble the Sync to Outlook field in any of the Contacts tables in my development system. Do you know which database table/column is related to the Sync to Outlook field?

Thanks so much for your help.

Can you please explain how this is done? --> If you have added the 'Sync to Outlook' button already available in the Mass Update section then you can select all (not just the 20 per page limit) via the Bulk Actions button.

Sync to Outlook should already be in the Mass Update form if you navigate to Contacts (module) > select a record > Bulk Actions > Mass Update. It is the first field available to select. This checkbox isn't a database field by rather a relationship between contacts and users. So the table you should do a mass update would be the contacts_users table.

This case is public. Please leave out any sensitive information such as URLs, passwords, etc.
