#4772 - Product Installation

Closed Installation created by Destination.AI a year ago

When I signed up I noticed my order was bundled with the SuiteCRM Outlook Plugin

Is it necessary to install the Outlook plugin to implement the Outlook 365 integration Does every email used in the SuiteCRM application need to be associated with a Outlook 365 (Office 365?) Use?

Also, when will you have a 7.13 compatible Outlook plugin?

Thank you,

PM

    Hi Paul,

    1. SuiteCRM Outlook Plugin is not a product of GrinMark, so you may remove it.
    2. In the plugin configuration you may select CRM logins to use. https://store.suitecrm.com/docs/grinmark-outlook-365-addin-for-suitecrm/multi-user-installation
    3. Our plugin is compatible with 7.13

    I hope it helps.

    Regards, Max

Thank you for the info Max.

Does every email used in the SuiteCRM application need to be associated with a Outlook 365 (Office 365?) licensed user?

Also, our business hosts events and can have and uses group email reply addresses. So we spike up to 20-30 users at times , but only have a few power users who need this integration. Is it possible to buy your app for a subset of active suiteCRM users? Or pay for some limited use licenses?

    Thank you, Paul

    Hi Paul,

The plugin can archive to CRM any email from the mailbox of a user. If a user received an email sent to a group address - it is not a problem, as long as the email reaches the Inbox of that user. The number of licenses you need is equal to the number of your power users.

    Hi Max,

Thank you for prompt reply. A few more questions:

    1) If we have users who doing work with us whereby 10-20% of their outlook contacts exist in our suiteCRM , but the other 80-90% have nothing to do with our organization, can your app then sync only associated with that subset of their contacts?.

    2) If an user has more than one email address in their outlook , including possibly a gmail address, how does that work with the synching?

    3) If there is a previous history with a contact in someone's outlook , that doesn't exist in suiteCRM instance, how can that contact and history (ie 10 previous emails) be associated

    4) Are there compatibility issues that can arise when someone has customized the suiteCRM instance, if so what are best practices to maintain compatibility with your app?

    thank you, Paul

    Hi Paul,

    1. The plugin synchronizes all Contacts. You may only choose the direction (E > CRM, CRM > E, E <> CRM)
    2. Only Microsoft Exchange addresses are visible to the plugin. Gmail is not supported.
    3. When a user archives an email with the Plugin and the recipient is missing in CRM then the plugin creates a new lead in CRM and links such an email to this lead. If you will do contact sync before archiving an email - then the email will be linked to the contact.
    4. There is a small possibility that a customization may break something. The only way to find out is to try.

    Regards, Max
