#120 - Windows Outlook Client Add-In

Closed Installation created by mikeyoder 7 years ago

I put this question in the wrong room initially. I'm reposting it in the Installation section where it belongs.

I just installed the trial version of the Outlook 365 and SuiteCRM Integration. I've successfully configured my SuiteCRM and Outlook365 admin using the instructions provided. I can see the suiteCRM plugin and options in my outlook365 web client. I want to have the same features when using my Outlook client (Windows version not browser version of outlook) is that possible with this solution? if so how do I install the add-in for the Windows Outlook 2016 or 2013 client?

    Hi Mike,

The plugin work in Outlook Desktop 2013+ on Windows and Outlook 2016+ on Mac OS. If it already works in your browser you are all set. The plugin should appear in Outlook Desktop in similar way as in Web version.

Thanks Denis, I think there is still an misunderstanding of my question. In order to install and add-in for the Microsoft Outlook windows application (Not the office365 client), it's my understanding that microsoft requires a COM installer. See this link: https://support.office.com/en-us/article/View-manage-and-install-add-ins-in-Office-programs-16278816-1948-4028-91e5-76dca5380f8d

I believe your answer is still in reference to the outlook on the web interface which requires logging into outlook mail using a browser. That functionality is working for me. My question is in regards to the Outlook Windows application that is part of Microsoft Office 2016

    Hi Mike,

The plugin that you installed from http://www.grinmark.com/downloads.html is a different product. This is a pure desktop edition that supports any version of Outlook on Windows (not available for Web and Mac OS). This product is not sold via this store, so contact sales@grinmark.com when you are ready to purchase.
