Implicit FrontEnd provides deep integration with Microsoft Outlook. In addition to full two-way synchronization of Outlook data such as contacts and calendars, it allows you to sync CRM data including accounts, opportunities, quotes etc. so that you can do all your CRM work without leaving Outlook. In addition, FrontEnd allows you to leverage the rich Outlook functionality to provide tools such as manual and automatic email archiving, collaboration and approval, opportunity tracking and more.
#1673 - When syncing with SuiteCRM we need Company field in Outlook to populate custom field on Contact
We have a SuiteCRM custom field on the contact record called company. Outlook contact record has a field called company. We would like the two fields to sync when we use Implicit meaning if we create the contact in Outlook and sync it to SuiteCRM that it would populate the company field in SuiteCRM. And if we create the contact in SuiteCRM and sync it to Outlook that it would populate the company field in Outlook. Basically perform the same sync as name, email, phone numbers, etc. since they have the same name for a field.
How do we do this?

The standard Company field for a contact in Outlook is configured to sync with a contact's 'Account' field in SuiteCRM. If you are using a separate custom field for 'Company', you can create a matching custom field in FrontEnd but in that case the two custom fields will sync to each other and not to the standard company field.

Thank you. This was helpful. One of the reasons that we created the custom company field under contact is because we don't always want that company to be an account. This is in a B to C business versus a B to B business.

The accounts field for contacts is optional not mandatory. So you can clear the company name in Outlook and use the custom field to hold the company name
