Implicit FrontEnd provides deep integration with Microsoft Outlook. In addition to full two-way synchronization of Outlook data such as contacts and calendars, it allows you to sync CRM data including accounts, opportunities, quotes etc. so that you can do all your CRM work without leaving Outlook. In addition, FrontEnd allows you to leverage the rich Outlook functionality to provide tools such as manual and automatic email archiving, collaboration and approval, opportunity tracking and more.
#116 - Outlook Crashing
Since installing the Implicit FrontEnd plug-in, Outlook is crashing 2 to 3 times a day. I have not done a lot of investigation yet, but are there any known issues we should check for?
Thanks.

Hi,
Can you please send us the trace file. Click on 'View Log' on Options > General tab save the file to a temporary text file and attach it to this case.
Thanks

Hi,
We reviewed the trace. We can see that Outlook has been restarted several times over the course of several days (we can see the add-in being re-loaded). In each of these cases, there was no activity related to FrontEnd immediately prior to the Outlook restart. This means that if Outlook crashed, it wasn’t because it was in the middle of any operation or processing related to FrontEnd. There could be different reasons for Outlook crashing. We want to eliminate anything related to FrontEnd. If this is not your experience and you believe that it crashed in the middle of an operation by FrontEnd, can you please describe exactly what you did to cause the crash and provide a log file of that specific incident.
Thanks,
Ronnie

Ronnie - Outlook rarely (if ever) crashed before installing Implicit. Outlook does not crash when the plug-in is disabled. Crashes happen randomly with I attempt actions ranging from entering a search term in the Search Current Mailbox field, sorting by Date or Received From, composing a new email, etc. However, I have several add-ins enabled and will disable all except Implicit and see if it makes a difference.

Yes, please disable all other add-ins and let me know if it still happens.
