A better way to manage and maintain your Target Lists. Target List Wizard allows you to keep lists up to date automatically using reports or workflows or manually from each of your records using the Target List subpanel. Also includes the ability to mass remove and also search for records that belong to a certain target list.
#5687 - Custom module support
Hello Team, we have a question regarding this add-on and the support for custom modules. We successfully tested the sync with contacts — both adding and removing contacts worked (e.g., filter by first name → first name changed → contact removed from target contact list). However, we now have a different scenario: a custom module is linked to contacts. This custom module serves as the starting point for our report. The filters include attributes from both the custom module and the contact fields. For technical reasons, our report must start with the custom module and can only join contacts afterwards. The report works, and our target contact list is correctly linked to the custom module. During synchronization, the target contact list is populated with data from our custom module as expected. However, the removal does not work: even though the report shows that fewer records are now found in the custom module, the corresponding entries are not removed from the target contact list. Since the initial population of the list works, we are unsure whether this is a bug or simply an unsupported feature. Could you please explain in more detail to what extent custom modules are supported?
Thank you in advance!

Hello,
I am not sure I understand your scenario. As target lists are only linked to contacts, leads, prospects and accounts, we never considered custom modules. You write “ our report must start with the custom module” Do you mean that the report related module is that custom module?

Also, what is the approximate number of records in your report? There might be a problem if it’s really big.

I'll try to explain it differently: our contacts have a relationship to a new module, let's call it ContactPreferredCommunicationChannel. The relationship is 1:m (a contact has 0 to many linked objects of this type). This module contains the relevant information for building our target lists. Due to the cardinality of the relationship (and other factors), our report must therefore start with the ContactPreferredCommunicationChannel module. Only then do we access the contacts via a join. As mentioned, our target contact list also has a relationship to ContactPreferredCommunicationChannel.
Now we're at the starting point: adding ContactPreferredCommunicationChannel records to the target contact list works with this add-on. However, removing records that are no longer qualified does not work. Hence the question from the first post.
Number of records: not a factor here. All tests were done with less than 10 records.

Hi,
I will send you later today by private email (from support - at - quickcrm.fr) a new version of our module that fixes some issues and might help debug the problem if it is not fixed.
