Fields that are defined as mandatory in SuiteCRM automatically become mandatory in FrontEnd.

I have marked company as mandatory field, but i can still create contact from implicit without the company name.

Hi,
There are certain fields that are synced to Outlook, and you cannot force them to be mandatory because that would mean that we have to make them mandatory in Oulook and that we cannot do.

Hi,
Is there a way around it? Can you please also tell me which such fields are synced to outlook and cannot be mandatory?

Hi,
Basically, all the fields in Outlook's contacts, calendar and tasks must follow the definition, logic and behavior of these fields in Outlook. So any field that is mandatory in Outlook must be mandatory in the CRM as well. For non-Outlook items such as opportunities, quotes leads etc. we follow their attributes in SuiteCRM.

So when creating a contact, the company name should be mandatory or not? If yes, then how can we disable the dialogue “skip this step” while creating a contact from Implicit Side Panel.

Account name is not mandatory neither in Outlook, nor in SuiteCRM, but if you define an account in either system it has to match the other. This is why we give users the option to leave it empty in both or define the same name in both. You can't disable this dialog.

Okay, thank you.
Is there any option to get a drop down list of the accounts, when creating a contact?
