Implicit FrontEnd provides deep integration with Microsoft Outlook. In addition to full two-way synchronization of Outlook data such as contacts and calendars, it allows you to sync CRM data including accounts, opportunities, quotes etc. so that you can do all your CRM work without leaving Outlook. In addition, FrontEnd allows you to leverage the rich Outlook functionality to provide tools such as manual and automatic email archiving, collaboration and approval, opportunity tracking and more.
#1981 - First steps - Syncing Contacts
Dear Sirs,
I'm doing initial steps on your outlook plugin for suitecrm. I've a issue syncing Contacts with SuiteCRM with standard dataset example deployed. I'm trying to configure in following scenario :
- SuiteCRM 7.11
- Last version of your Outlook plugin
- User will/will
The "Sync Configuration" always indicates that is going to be synced "0" contacts, regardless that are 21 contacts assigned to user "will" in SuiteCRM instance. The "Sync Configuration" tab indicates that all contacts to be synced from SuiteCRM to Outlook must have "Sync to Mail Client" marked... what does that precondition implicates ? which table/column-s is-are on mysql database model ?
I haven't any problem syncing accounts, opportunities, cases, etc..., in "Sync Configuration" appears the quantity of each kind that will be synced by the plugin, but not in the case of entity "contacts".
Thanks in advance

I've selected the option "I want to sync contacts between SuiteCRM and Outlook" on "Tethered Mode" tab, and I'm using local Outlook 2013 64b with all patches installed. Thanks in advance!

Hi,
In SuiteCRM there is a checkbox on the contact module called "Sync to Outlook". If you don't see it, you may need to go to Studio and manually add it to the contact view/edit form and the contact list. Once its there you need to do a Mass Update to turn it on for all the contacts you want to sync in SuiteCRM

Dear Sirs,
I've used this option already (before write the issue)... any it doesn't works... the only difference is that I didn't use mass update, I've just updated 3 contacts assigned to user "will", and the counter continues in "0 Records". Any suggestion ?

when I'm talking about "I've just updated 3 contacts"... I'm talking about "Sync to Outlook" checkbox flaged.

Hi,
Are you using the same user account on both the sever side and on FrontEnd? The "Sync to Outlook" setting is user-specific

Dear Sirs,
I'm install and reinstall several times your plugin and it never syncronize automatically contacts created on suitecrm to outlook. Either on first sync and either later creating contacts from suitecrm. The rest of entities and situations seems to sync fine. I've the following environment :
SuiteCRM 7.11 (MAMP) Windows 10 64b desktop + Outlook 2013, in both cases all maintance packs/fixes installed. Plugin 4.2.14. Enterprise on trial period. Plugin Setup:
General / Syncronize (schedule an automatic syncronization every 5 minutes) Thethered Mode : (I want to sync contacts between SuiteCRM and Outlook) Sync Configuration (Contacts marked for syncing in both directions) All contacts in SUITECRM with checkbox "Sync to Outlook" marked (many manually the others with massive change, but always before install plugin) We're testing outlook plugin with user will/will with demo dataset deployed provided by SuiteCRM installation Contacts only sync in these scenarios : - All contacts are sync to SuiteCRM if they were created before in Outlook - All contacts created in SuiteCRM are synchronized to Outlook if you force the manual sync option in window "Search CRM Contacts", they never sync automatically by the plugin, but you have visibility of those contacts from this window because the plugin shows contacts from SuiteCRM repository.
Any suggestion for solving automatically syncing on this last scenario... ??
Thanks in advance

Hi,
There is no need to uninstall and install multiple times. It sounds like the system is installed and working. The issue is detecting contacts on SuiteCRM to sync.
During the initial sync, FrontEnd will sync all contacts that are marked as "Sync to Outlook". After the initial sync, it will only sync contacts that have been modified or created after the initial sync time. So if you have done the initial sync and then set the "Sync to Outlook" after that, it won't sync again.
If you go to Options > Sync Configurations contact and click on the link below to discover how many contacts are marked as "Sync to Outlook" - do you get the correct number?
If this is working correctly, then in order to force synchronization, simply refresh the contacts. Open one contact that is marked and modify some field, save and click sync now. It should now sync that contact to Outlook.
To apply it to all contacts you can just do mass update again.

Hi,
The issue is just focused on syncing Contacts created from SuiteCRM, they don't sync to Outlook in anyway. In the opposite direction is working fine from the first test.
Before install the plugin, all Contacts on SuiteCRM has marked/checked the field "Sync to Outlook".
I'm using user "will" in both sides (on plugin setup and at login to suitecrm).
On "Search SuiteCRM Contacts" window (from plugin) appears all the contacts in suitecrm but with the icon with planet earth (not synchronized locally in Outlook). They just sync locally to outlook if I click on the button "Sync to Outlook" icon on the upper left corner of this window. If I open the Outlook's window "adress book", only appears those contacts that I previously sync manually through "Sync to Outlook" button.
During the plugin installation and also after that... if I access to plugin options on "Sync Configuration" / Contacts and click on "Click here to view how many Contacts will be synced" always the result for that request is ZERO. The three checkboxes sited on this panel are checked from the begin and the value for Tethered Mode is "I want to sync contacts between SuiteCRM and Outlook" also from the begin.
Any suggestion ?
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
The “Sync to Outlook” checkboxes are user-specific. Please make sure they are enabled for the same user that you are syncing.
Can you please do the following:
