#5908 - Support for SuiteCRM 8 UI and export URL issue
Hi,
We are testing Suite2Excel in SuiteCRM 8.6.1 and have noticed two points we would like to clarify.
First, the plugin is currently visible only in the legacy view. Since SuiteCRM 8 is supported, do you plan to make it available in the new UI as well? If so, is there any expected timeline?
Second, we found that when clicking the export icon, the plugin sends an incorrect request by duplicating /legacy in the URL path, for example: https://suitecrm/legacy/legacy/Suite2Excel/data/export/WorkSchedules_2026-04-07_15_44_30.xlsx If one /legacy segment is removed, the export works correctly. Do you know if this issue has already been reported, and is there any known workaround or preconfiguration that could prevent it?

Additionally, we noticed inconsistent behavior in the visibility of the export button for different users, even though both accounts have administrator permissions.
For example, User 1 can see the export button in panel X but not in panel Y, while User 2 cannot see the export button in panel X but can see it in panel Y. In the case of User 2, a POST request is also being sent to https://suitecrm/legacy/mokas_excel_export.php. It was tested on the 2 different end devices for those users.
Could you explain what might cause this difference, and whether there is any configuration that controls this behavior?

Dear Szymon,
We have released a new version in which the issue with the duplicated “/legacy” segment in the URL has been resolved.
At the moment, we do not plan to adapt Suite2Excel for the new SuiteCRM 8 interface in the near future due to technical and commercial considerations.
Best regards, Vytenis
