#4624 - Relationship between Employee and Security Suite
Hi,
Is that possible to create a relationship between module Employees and SecuritySuite? In our CRM, we need that relationship because we have multiple groups, each one with one diretor. Each director needs to see all employees inside is group but not the employees assign to other groups.
When we set Employee access to group only to director role, they can't see any record because there is no relationship between Employees and Security Suite. The relation is only with Users module.
This is intended or is it a bug? If is intended, what do I need to change through code to make this work the way we need?
Best regards.

Internally, SuiteCRM treats Employees as Users so if you have Users in the role grid set to List->Group then it should limit directors to seeing only their own employees as long their Group is assigned to them and their team members. If they see more than that then double check to see which groups the directors are a part of.

In fact, the directors do not see any employees. In the role grid, directors have access defined for Groups in the Employees and Users modules. However, they can only see employees (everyone, not just those assigned to their security group) when I change the access set in role grid to All for the Employees and Users modules.

Employees module shouldn't be visible on the Role grid. If it is, do you have this version of SecuritySuite installed or the default SecuritySuite that comes with SuiteCRM? If this version, set Users module to List->Group and it should show just their own team members. If not, then I need to dig in further.

Hi,
Employees module is visible in role grid. I have SecuritySuite - Enhanced, Professional, and Enterprise plugin, version 3.1.31 installed in both instances (production and develop).
In both instances I set the access level to Employees module to List->Group but the users with that function assign cannot see employees, only if I set access level to All in that modules.
If you need some more information or examples about this situation, please let me know.
Best regards.

Yes, just emailed a package that should give you what you need.

Hi eggsurplus,
I installed the package you emailed me and it works. However, the Employees module doesnt heritage the Security Groups relations (to work correctly, I need to associate the employees to the security groups again, equal to Users module. Is this intended?
Thank you in advance. Best regards

Unfortunately, yes. Employees and Users are such an oddity in this CRM.

Ok. Taking into account this need to associate employees with the respective security groups, the package corrects the reported bug.
Thank you for your help with this situation.
