I am having troubles recreating this issue. Would you be able to take a video walking through each of the steps up to and including Jim's meeting showing on Chris' calendar? I would love to see the meeting record including all invites and each of the subpanels fully expanded.View Comment

Yes, unfortunately for your use-case, the layout that gets used is from the Primary Group that a user is in with the fallback being the first layout that it grabs. It does not take into account the groups associated to the current record.View Comment

Happy to help. What version of SuiteCRM are you currently on? Since you have had SecuritySuite for quite awhile now, were there any changes on the server or within SuiteCRM between when it was working and when it stopped working for you?
I can certainly hop on a call with you. I'm available today from now until 4pm central and tomorrow noon to 4pm central. Feel free to email me at solutions - @ - eggsurplus - . - com (no hyphens or spaces).View Comment

Yes, you can absolutely use the same key for your production and dev instance.View Comment

Hi there. This is going to be a file permissions issue that is causing either the layout changes not to save or SuiteCRM to be unable to load the saved layouts. This is all saved in the /custom directory. Be sure to match up permissions, ownership, and double check the user that is running your web server (which is typically Apache).View Comment

Unfortunately, it is not available through SecuritySuite. I recommend working directly in the database for this. Additional Assigned Users all live in the securitygroups_additionalusers. I recommend viewing that table for Account records and then inserting data based on how that is formatted.View Comment

My apologies. I do owe you a reply.
SuiteCRM 8 support is still planned. Misc delays are causing schedules to shuffle. I will follow up here when there is more information to share. PHP 8 should currently work, but we will review that as well.View Comment

Great! Unfortunately, in cases like this one Module Loader will show it as not installed until all those file permissions are resolved and it can be installed fully through the Module Loader.
If you want that to not show in Module Loader I recommend just deleting the package.
Also keep this handy if you ever do want to uninstall SecuritySuite: https://store.suitecrm.com/docs/securitysuite/uninstallation-guideView Comment

Almost there! There is one more file to copy from the zip package.
Copy /install_dir/relationships/Users/securitygroups_usersMetaData.php to the /metadata directory.
Then do a Rebuild Relationships.View Comment

Yeah, the needed files aren't copying over as they need to be. This usually works 99% of the time in SuiteCRM having thousands of installs. Unfortunately, you are running into issues.
To resolve, unzip the install package and copying over the 5 files in /install_dir/relationships/SecurityGroups to the /metadata directory of your install. Then Rebuild Relationships again.View Comment

Sorry about the challenges here. SuiteCRM can be really finicky with it's module loader. If it isn't showing as installed then the installation is failing at some point. Usually, this is a file permissions issue that causes module loader not to be able to unzip the package and/or copy over the files to it's final destination. Addressing the permissions and running the installer again will resolve this unless permissions are still not quite right.View Comment

Try another Rebuild Relationships. Due to making the module inactive, it may have ran into an issue rebuilding the relationships.
If that still fails then this can be solved by unzipping the install package and copying over the 5 files in /install_dir/relationships/SecurityGroups to the /metadata directory of your install. Then Rebuild Relationships again.View Comment

Thanks! This has been addressed in the latest version. Please grab 3.1.31 from your downloads at https://store.suitecrm.com/orders for SuiteCRM 7.12.5. Install, run Quick Repair/Rebuild, Rebuild Relationships, and Repair Roles. The error should be gone at that point.
Let me know if you have any questions.View Comment

Could you send over the version of SecuritySuite that is installed? This should be visible under the Module Loader page within SuiteCRM. Thank you!View Comment

A new version of SecuritySuite has been uploaded (3.1.30) that addresses some PHP issues which may be what you ran into. I suggest upgrading when you can.
If it does not and you cannot get the license key to validate then it may be an SSL issue which can be resolved by upgrading OpenSSL on your server to at least version 1.1. We noticed a handful of servers having this issue around the December timeframe: https://letsencrypt.org/docs/dst-root-ca-x3-expiration-september-2021/View Comment

3.1.30 has just been released and is available in your downloads. This addresses some PHP issues on specific instances.
If this doesn't resolve the issue for you, are you using a custom theme, by chance? If so, which one?View Comment

Yes, I see that it went through successfully and that the license was able to validate. Thanks for using SecuritySuite!View Comment
