Thank you for contacting us! SuiteCRM versions 8.x are very different than previous ones, it will take quite lots of effort and time for us to adjust. Eventually we will do this, but for now I must honestly say - it is at least 10 months - 1 year from now till we get there.

Will it work on 8.0.3 as stated in the compatibility or not with anything 8.x at this point?

I am still waiting to hear on this - the compatibility matrix on the download shows it supports 8.0.3, I installed a trial of it last night and it installed and seemed to work initially, but now I'm getting an "Error fetching metadata" when trying to access it. Figured I'd follow up here to see if it truly is not compatible with 8.0.3 or if I have a configuration error on my end since we've been working on a lot of other changes. Please advise.
