#820 - New case created from phone app

When creating a new case from the phone app I cannot find a way to attach a contact to a case. The only way I was able top complete this is to create the case in the phone and then when getting to a web browser I was able to attach a contact to the case. I am not sure about the other functions at the moment. Can you tell me how I can complete this ?

    Hi,

    Go to the admin page. In Views configuration (our equivalent of Studio), go to Cases / Subpanels and add the Contacts sub panel. Then you will be able to select contacts from that subpanel.

      I have tried that but when I click on the contacts it highlights blue but does not show anything. I added tasks there and when I click on that it opens the task window no problem. Thank You !

      Hi,

      On my phone, I have tried to select a contact in the Contacts subpanel of a Case, but my phone has version 6.1 of the app (major version of the app to be released next week). I will try tomorrow with current public version (6.0.3) and I will get back to you. Now, if you have an Android device, I could send you a link to install version 6.1 before it is published on Google Play.

    FYI, here is what you will have in version 6.1: • 3 color themes are now available (Light, Green and Dark) in Options - General • Display totals in subpanels (for example sum of opportunities amount on an account) • Create an opportunity when converting a Lead • QuickCRM Favorites are synced with SuiteCRM Favorites • Bug fixes

    Totals in subpanels and sync with QuickCRM Favorites won't be available in 6.1 until you install next version of our server module (planned for next week too).

    I just sent you an email with the new Android apk. I can also confirm that it is working with 6.1 but not with 6.0.3.

      I am having trouble getting the APK to install, it opens the file as a if it was a zip file and not an app. I also changed to allow from unknown sources. I have a Pixel 2 XL, would you have any suggestions for me ?

      Sure you need to allow unknown sources. After that, I can't really help. Did you download the app then try to install it from File manager?

      I had to download the new app from Google "Files Go" from the play store to install the APK. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.apps.nbu.files
