#5078 - New Module Security Groups are Inheriting from correcly but user cant see record

Closed Bug? created by daniel Verified Purchase 5 months ago

Hello,

We created a new Module and created a relationship from the security module to the new Module (DU_Unit_ID). The user in a specific Group can create a record and the security group is inherited correcly. But the user is unable to see the record.

As an admin i can see the record and can see that the security group is attached correrly?

Any ideas what i could look at?

Cheers

daniel

    Hi Daniel,

    Have you used the Hookup tool on the Admin page in the SecuritySuite section to connect it to Security Groups correctly yet? SuiteCRM doesn't create the relationship correctly by default.

    To resolve follow these steps:

    Edit the vardefs.php for that module
    Remove 'security_groups' from the VardefManager::createVardef call
    Run Quick Repair & Rebuild a couple of times
    Go to Admin->Hookup Module
    Choose your module and click OK
    Run Quick Repair & Rebuild for good measure
