#2893 - calculate time totals and other functions etween time fields
hey guys,
the only reason that I am considering the module is to create time reports. We developed a custom time reports module and we store the time in the database as seconds (integer). So the report shows seconds, no a formatted time. If we can create another field of type TIME (hh:mm:ss) to store the time - will the report recognize the TIME field and will be able to calculate totals or any other functions?
The main goal is to create daily time reports (sum of time/user/day or week/month) and display the trend within a period of time week, last 7 days, last 30 days...etc
please advise. thanks

Hello Florian,
Very good question. If you have simple integer field with number of seconds, we can summarise that and as a result there will be total number of seconds.
If you need to summarise hh:mm:ss, this isn't available yet, however if you start the free trial and can give us the admin user access, I think, we will manage to summarise this field type within 1-2 weeks. So that you can get the outcome before your free trial ends ;).
There is "Calculated Fields" tab available, where you can make calculation on a Record based (row based data), e.g. subtract dates or even write your custom SQL, - this you can use already.
Filters for: last week, las 7 or 30 days etc. are already available as well.
