Hello, I don't get your question. If you want to resolve the sequence algorithm on your own, you can try to do personal customization. Sometime it is better, to implement BI features than adding another plug-in. I also offer direct customization, in case it would be an option for you.
For quite simple cases you can use the internal workflow feature. However, it is limited to the actual values and can not query through all existing data.
