#242 - Send an SMS to a Target List
Hello,
I was asking support if you guys had that feature and he said no, I was wondering if you could add a feature that could send an SMS to a Target List.
Example: I create a Report that lists all the contacts with "Smith" as the last Name, from there I create a Target List with all those contacts (lets say there are 87 contacts with the last name "Smith"), I want to have the ability to send that Target List an SMS. They dont need to be 2-way sms, maybe only 1 way if its faster to code.
Is that possible? And if so, how long does it take to develop?

Hello Yes, that is possible. We will issue a new release including sending SMS to Target List on the 10th on March.

Hello We have added new relase of SendSMS (v1.24) which includes sending messages to TargetLists. Just enter yout TargetList and select "Send SMS" from Actions menu. Please note that it will only send to related Contacts or Leads records.

Hello Viznet,
The feature does not appear to be working. When I click the Actions>Send SMS, a blank SendSMS dialog pops up. I wanted to be able to send an SMS to the entire TargetList, pulling the phone number from the field "Mobile". Is there anyway you can fix this?

On top of that, when I go to Contacts, I cannot send an SMS to multiple contacts, the screen comes up blank as well when I select more than one contact. What is happening?

Hello It is working on our end. What is the suitecrm version you are using ? Are you able to send us your php_errors.log file as well as suitecrm.log file - (if yes, please send to support@viznet.pl)
Is there any chance that we can examine your installation, e.g via ftp, scp or http or ssh ?
