#2954 - Mapping Account/Company Name for Contacts

Closed Bug? created by Talenscio-Dave 4 years ago

Hi,

As Accounts are not mapped using this connector, how/what do I map to get the company name for contacts? SuiteCRM links to account from contact so there is no filed to map from the contact record. Leads and Targets are OK as they have a company name field.

Thanks

    Hello,

You need to set up the appropriate mapping for Contacts.

Admin / Connectors / Map Connector Fields

Below the Leads section is the Contacts section.

    Best regards,

      Hi,

Thanks for your reply. However, 'company' does not exist in the SuiteCRM Contact module as it's linked to the Account rather than a Contact specific field. Therefore it does not appear in the Module Fields list. Please advise.

      Thanks,

      Dave

      Dave,

You're right. I consulted it with Support Team.

Leads and Targets: we can use the Account Name field because it's a text field.

Contacts: we can't use this field because it's not a text field anymore, but a relation with Account. This would require tracking every change to the Account name.

We can adjust this for you as part of a paid service. However, it will be a rather bigger task.
