#1445 - Compatibility check

Closed General Question created by devmehta 5 years ago

We have installed https://www.sugaroutfitters.com/addons/mail-merge-reports plugin on our SugarCE version in 2013. Now we have upgraded/migrated our system from SugarCE to SuiteCRM 7.6.6

Do we need to un-install that plugin and go for this one? Because old plugin does not seems to be working fine for our end.

Is there any hotfix available for instance which converts from SugarCE to SuiteCRM?

    Regards!

      Hi,

MMR is compatible with SuiteCRM, there should be no problems, but with older versions of the component there could be problems. We have not tested the proper operation after a migration from SugarCRM to SuiteCRM. The best thing would be to uninstall the component (checking the "do not remove tables" option), download the latest version of the component and reinstall it.

      Thank you for this.

Once more thing I would like to know that, we have separate plugins for both SugarCRM and SuiteCRM in market place. Obviously, we have to install SuiteCRM one only.

But we have a case like : Without un-install previous version, we have migrated from SugarCRM to SuiteCRM. Is it safe to un-install this plugin now? Or you recommended to un-install plugin manually using file system?

As we commented before, it has not been tested after a migration, but it should work properly. It would be best to test it in a test environment, before performing the action in production.

There was an issue with the uninstallation (which did not always occur) that was resolved in version 2.5.9. It only happened when the option to delete tables when uninstalling was checked.

This case is public. Please leave out any sensitive information such as URLs, passwords, etc.
