We use version 7.11.18 with Brazilian Portuguese as default language and "." as thousands separator and "," as decimal symbol.
With decimal or currency fields, the pugin copy the values, but uses the wrong format. For instance, the source value is 32,54. The target field in the edit view appears as 32.540000. It triggers a known behavior in which the field is saved with the value multiplied by 100.
We need the number to be copied with the proper format, as defined in Admin->Locale settings or, even better, using the current user format. Both solutions are acceptable.
