Dropdown Values Import User’s Guide has been developed to assist management, system admin and users. Dropdown Values Import extension allows you to import values in Existing Dropdown and Create New Dropdown(Simple & Dynamic Dropdown) from Comma/Semicolon Separated CSV File or Copy from any other Module’s Dropdown Values.

Features:

  • Dropdown Values Import feature available for “Import to Existing Dropdown Field” and “Create Dropdown - Field And Import”.
  • If you’re selecting “Import to Existing Dropdown Field” then it displays two Methods for Import Values in Dropdown as “Display Text” and “Insert New Records”.
  • If you’re selecting “Create Dropdown - Field And Import” then it allows you to Create two types of Dropdown “Simple Dropdown” and “Dynamic Dropdown”.
  • Two ways to Import value in Existing Dropdown and Create New Dropdown
    • Copy from Module
      • Copy Import Values from any other Module’s Dropdown.
    • Import from CSV File
      • Upload Comma/Semicolon separated CSV file.
      • Needs to Select Character Encoding either “Comma” or “Semicolon”.
      • Character Encoding and Uploaded CSV file must have the same Delimiter.
      • Able to Download Sample Template for both Comma and Semicolon CSV File.
      • Able to set “Has Header” option while Uploading CSV File.
  • Handled Duplicate Value Using “Skip” or “Override”.
  • If you’re selecting “Dynamic Dropdown” from “Select Dropdown Type” for “Create Dropdown - Field And Import” or Select “Dynamic Dropdown” type field from “Module Field” of “Import to Existing Dropdown Field” then it’s allow you to map Parent Dropdown Value with Import Value which you want to import in Dynamic Dropdown.
  • After Importing Value, Summary Report will be generated for imported Value.
  • In the Summary Report once you click on the “Details” link, it will open the Popup which shows the Successfully Imported Dropdown Values.
  • Able to Undo Imported Data using Click on the “Undo Import” Button.
  • If you’re selecting “Create Dropdown - Field And Import” then after Successfully Imported Dropdown Values you must need to Repair & Rebuild your SuiteCRM. For Quick Repair & Rebuild Click on "Click here to Repair & Rebuild" Link.
