What is Autodraft?

Autodraft automatically saves your progress while you are filling out forms in SuiteCRM. It prevents data loss due to session timeouts, browser crashes, or accidental navigation.

How to Use Autodraft

1. Open any record creation/edit screen (e.g., Lead, Contact)
2. Start typing in any field
3. Autodraft automatically saves your progress in the background
4. If you leave or lose the page:
   • Return to the same form
   • You will be prompted to restore your draft

Restoring a Draft

• When reopening a form, Autodraft detects existing drafts
• You will be given the option to:
  • Restore draft
  • Ignore draft

Draft Behavior

• Drafts are saved periodically while typing
• Behavior depends on Save Mode:

Update Mode

• Only one draft per record/form
• Always overwritten with latest changes

Create Mode

• Multiple drafts can be created
• Useful for version tracking

Draft Retention

• Admins can configure how long drafts are stored
• Drafts older than configured days are automatically deleted
• Option available to keep drafts indefinitely
