#59 - Web to Module

Closed General Question created by foundry512 8 years ago

Hi,

I'm trying to create a registration form that is automatically a pending quote if you will. This would allow people to sign up for a special event and save it for a sales team member to finalize and send out as part of the sales process. In order to do this I was trying to configure the Web to Module to create a web form that would allow this registration. Essentially, I want to grab a few fields like name and account, but I also need to allow for specific line items. The registration form would go to the quotes module with data like this:

Name Account

Nights (product in suitecrm)

Park Tickets (product in suitecrm)

So far I cannot seem to save a specific line item. I was wondering if there were any instructions on how to make this happen. It seems so close to what we need that I think the issue is with me rather than the plugin.

Thanks ahead of time.

    Hi foundry512,

Thanks for showing interest in our add-on. I guess, I understood your objective. The Quote and the Line Items are the special case, as it is been handled in different way and the Line Items are the record for a module as well.

Looking at your objective it seems you want a Quote Form on your website or somewhere, Where user comes and fills details. That creates a Quote and fills line items so that you get a proper quote filled as per SuiteCRM. As I said this cannot be done with the plugin, But certainly we can customize the module or a out of the module solution to achieve the objective.

We can discuss in detail over skype. Our skype id is : urdhvatech
