#3585 - Query re using the Email Address field
We use to use the Module auto-response template and understand that "it will be send only if the module selected has email address in web form and not empty."
I had a text field called Email. I had re-labelled it as Email Address. However it still doesn't work. Does the email field have to be of type Email rather than just a text field. (I get the impression that this is not easy to do as it is not a standard data type.)

Thank you for your reply. May I check: are you saying that in order to use the Auto Response Template functionality, you need to have a proper Email address field, you can't just use a text field that is called Email Address? Thank you, Jenny

You can use the text field as well. But for this Email Address field, we have to make some changes to work with it. Hope that clears you.
