#736 - When going to select portal layout I cannot do anything with it
When trying to save on portal layout in admin, It wont save or select. I go to dropdown and try to select an item and nothing occurs. Am i doing something wrong in the setup?

Hi,
Sorry for inconvenience. Can you please check if your CRM has correct folder permissions. As per the SugarCRM Install and upgrade guideline, it should be 755 recursive file permission to custom and modules directory of your CRM instance.
It would be great if you can share your CRM details and FTP so we can check and resolve issue(if any) so you can further test portal functionality. Thanks.

Thank you for your response. That suggestion did in fact fix the issue I was having, but now another issue has revealed itself which was also posted to this forum (support case number #552). That post doesn't have any responses I can see, though it was posted two months ago.
On the Joomla side, I'm fairly certain my configurations are correct but when I save I get the message: "ERROR Configuration did not complete successfully."
This could be related, but in the "Portal Options" section, there are no checkboxes to check next to "Recent Activities On Dashboard"

Please, we have been looking for a good portal solution for quite some time now, and based on the documentation yours looks perfect! We just want to make sure it works on this test bed, and know all the exact steps before installing on our live site. Thank you for sharing your details with us.
We have tried with the same configuration that you have and it is working fine at our server.
By checking with your CRM instance we have found that still there might be some issue with file permission.
When our customer portal try to connect with CRM using https://cv-networks.com/SuiteCRM/custom/service/v4_1_custom/rest.php URL it is facing some error.
Would you email us the PHP error log or provide cPanel access, so we can find and resolve the issue?
