#5061 - Interaction of MultiCompany with other plugins (other Variance's included)

Closed General Question created by Ricardo Cairello 6 months ago

Hi!

Do you happen to know any issues with other plugins? In particular some of your own plugins:

  • Dynamic Panels
  • Listview Color
  • Reminder and Notification

In addition, and as a general concept: can assume that by using the MultiCompany plugin we can separate (from the login and users up to PDF and e-mail templates) a single SuiteCRM installation into several "virtual" instances of SuiteCRM?

Thanks a lot!

One big question missing out in my ticket here: how does the plugin handle OUTGOING EMAIL ACCOUNTS?

As far as I know, SuiteCRM only handles 1 SMTP configuration per installation, so: how does the plugin handle this situation? Every "virtual" installation / Company to be created with the help of your plugin has its own SMTP configuration, and of course the email accounts can't be shared or even viewed / listed amongst companies.

Is this supported? that is: can we set up a unique SMTP server configuration for every Company created with the plugin?

    Thanks again!

Hi Team! Me again, adding a question related to the multi-SMTP scenario above.

I found your MutilSMTP extension here at the Store: how does it play along the MultiCompany plugin? It it already embedded into it? In any case, would it be possible (with the MultiCompany and/or MultiSMTP plugins) to create 1 (JUST ONE) WORKFLOW and use this one WF to send emails, but automatically picking the SMTP configuration of the Company/User related to the record that fired the WF so that, as a result, with just one WF set up we can correctly send emails to customers, but everybody receiving them through the correct Company's outgoing email server / domain?

I've watched the MultiSMTP video and under the Actions menu in the Workflows Module, you added "Send Email Using Multi SMTP", I imagine this is the solution we need here.

    Just to confirm, an example:

    • If a record from Company A triggers the WF, then the outgoing SMTP configuration / server should be @companyA.com.
    • If a record from Company B triggers the WF, then the outgoing SMTP configuration / server should be @companyB.com.

Thanks in advance for your support!!

      Hello,

Multicompany and MultiSMTP both are the separate Extension so you have to purchase separately.

Using MultiCompany, Workflow display based on the company. So if you use MultiSMTP then it'll trigger the Workflow and consider the Outgoing Details based on the User.

Below our Extensions features works with the MultiCompany Extension, 1. Dynamic Panels 2. Listview Color 3. Reminder and Notification

In the Setting Page, Display configurations added by all the users from different Companies but features of the Extension works means we can't setup configuration company wise.
