Hi,

Our installation needs a multi-company management solution, and your plugin seems to be a very interesting solution. However, I have some questions that I would like to see clarified in advance: 1. Are users associated with only a specific company able to view records associated with other companies? 2. Is it possible for a user with access only to company X to assign, for example, an opportunity to another user with access only to company Y? 3. It is possible to configure the edit view and details view according to each company? 4. If a record is associated with only one company, is it only visible in that company? 5. We have a double authentication plugin in our production environment. Will the coexistence between both plugins influence the users' current login process (first login to SuiteCRM, followed by validation with Google Authenticator)?

    Hello,

    Thank you so much for interesting in our Extension.

    1. Are users associated with only a specific company able to view records associated with other companies? -> On Login page, if a user has more than one company then display one dropdown of MutiCompany List. After Login with the Particular MultiCompany it'll display that company records in listview of module if that module enabled in the MultiCompany configuration.

    2. Is it possible for a user with access only to company X to assign, for example, an opportunity to another user with access only to company Y? -> Can you please Elaborate this question

    3. It is possible to configure the edit view and details view according to each company? -> Yes as per our Field Access functionality you can hide panels & fields according to configuration of each company.

    4. If a record is associated with only one company, is it only visible in that company? -> Yes. One record associated with only one company.

    5. We have a double authentication plugin in our production environment. Will the coexistence between both plugins influence the users' current login process (first login to SuiteCRM, followed by validation with Google Authenticator)? -> For that we'll check in Your CRM

In order to elaborate this question, allow me to contextualize the intended functioning of our CRM: our company is a business group, consisting of several different companies that interact with each other. These interactions consist, mostly, in our CRM, in the attribution of business opportunities between the salespeople of each company. Thus, it is necessary that commercial 1 from company X be able to assign an opportunity (and not only that) to commercial 2 from company Y, where commercial 1 only exists in company X and commercial 2 only exists in company Y.

      Hello,

      We have checked your requirement about Assign Record to other Company User.

      Currently our Extension doesn't allow to assign record to another Company User but if you want to allow then we have following question,

      • Currently our Extension also store the Login company in the Record when assign to User. As per your requirement, If you assign to another Company User then which company we need to consider and also if user allocated to more than one company then which company we need to consider?

    Hi,

    In our case, what we pretend is If a user from a company (X) assigns a record to another user from another company (Y), that record will become related to the company to which it was assigned (company Y).

    Is that achievable with your solution?

    Hi,

    If a User belongs to more than one company, the company associated with that record is the company that user is logged when he creates the record.

    Do you have some ideas to customize some workaround to adapt your extension to our needs?

    Let me elaborate my question so you will get idea.

    Suppose User X Login with Company X and assign Record to User Y which is belongs to Company Y and Company Z. So which Company we need to consider for the Record of User Y?

      Hi,

      In that situation, User X need to specifies the company of User Y when he assigns that record to him. I dont know if that is achievable, or if it will be needed to read the value of a field in the record and use this value to make the right association with the company when the assignement is made.

      I'm thinking in a workaround because our needs are really speficic and complex, because we have a lot of companies inside our organization with a lot of differente bussiness relations between them, and is very difficult to aplly one rule to all in this situation.
