#4769 - Sync updates

Closed General Question created by Talenscio-Dave a year ago

Hi,

I have campaigns setup to update standard and custom fields when a contact takes, or does not take, specific actions - e.g. I may want to update their lead status if they don't respond to an email.

If the mapping is Mautic to Suite than the change in Mautic is pushed to Suite but, if mapped Suite to Mautic then the change in Mautic is not pushed to Suite. I thought I could get around this by using the Push to Integration action but this seems to create a duplicate lead rather than update existing. What is the best way to push a change from Mautic to Suite when the primary mapping is Suite to Mautic?

Thanks

Please make sure that all the fields you are mapping (and they are drop-down lists) have the same keys.

Important: The value -blank- in SuiteCRM is the item in the list. Mautic will not allow you to set this value in the list. Then it's better to do ‘not_set’ in Mautic.

Both of these columns must have the same values.

Thanks, not sure I fully understand what to do with -blank-, Mautic does not allow me to create an 'empty' option.

Also not sure that this answers my question... If the connector mapping is set to go from Suite to Mautic but sometimes I need to update the lead status in Mautic, how do I push that change back to Suite?

e.g. Status changes from New to Recycled.....

      Administration->Connectors->Map Connector Fields->Mautic Tab

There you will find checkboxes (from the attached graphic). There you can check the fields you want to update with values from Mautic.

Make sure that the record you are checking is integrated - i.e. in the detailed view of the record, in the Mautic URL field, the Mautic system icon is visible.

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately this does not answer the issue raised.

We have lead status mapped so that Suite updates Mautic as this is correct most of the time. However, we have some Mautic campaigns that need to update the Lead Status in Suite to a particular status. How do we achieve this to 'override' the mapping direction?

Could you also please clarify the issue with -blank- in Suite dropdowns? What do we enter in the Mautic dropdown to match the Suite '-blank-' field?

    Many thanks

Integration is two-sided. Only that Mautic is not allowed to overwrite values in CRM if it is not empty (default). To change this, you need to check these checkboxes. Did you do it?

So if I tick that checkbox, will that stop Suite overwriting Mautic if there is an existing value?

If the answer is yes then what I am trying to do is not possible with your plugin. I need both Suite and Mautic to be able to update the Lead Status field.

      Is this possible with customisation?

Could you also please answer the question (3rd time of asking) about what to enter in Mautic dropdown to match -blank in Suite?

      Thank you.

    1. DUPLICATES ARE CREATED

Regarding duplicating leads in CRM, I refer to https://store.suitecrm.com/docs/mautic-suitecrm-integrator/configuration-guide#p22 Step 2: Connector configuration -> Always create a new record field, whose value should be set to No (it's probably on Yes and that's why duplicates are created).

    1. YOUR FIRST QUESTION: So if I tick that checkbox, will that stop Suite overwriting Mautic if there is an existing value?

No, let me describe "Allow Mautic to overwrite Module Field value in CRM" to you: - if checkbox is checked - Mautic will set always field value (via Push to integration action) in CRM - if checkbox is unchecked - Mautic will set field value (via Push to integration action) in CRM only if field was empty before; if wasn't, Mautic field value will be overwrite by CRM field value because CRM is leading system over Mautic - however every Lead update (save) in CRM (not caused by Mautic) will update Mautic every related Contact fields - configured in CRM Connector Settings so in general, the answer is no.

3, YOUR SECOND QUESTION: Could you also please answer the question (3rd time of asking) about what to enter in Mautic dropdown to match -blank in Suite?

Every Mautic Select Field has in-build empty value (its default value if you don't choose default value in your custom Field settings.

However, we strongly don't recommend using our integration to erase field value between CRM and Mautic on both sides, just only to set non-empty value or change it to other but non-empty too.

I hope I made it clear for you. If you have any further questions about this, do not hesitate to contact us :)
