Thanks for the reply. Here is my current setup, problem and goal.

Setup: Opportunity Module: I have one dropdown to choose the type of opportunity (ex. Software op or Service op). Then, I am using one dynamic dropdown to manage 2 distinct sales stages (ex. soft_discovery, soft_contract, serv_discovery, serv_contract, etc.). If type of opportunity = software, dynamic dropdown shows the sales stages that start with "soft_". If type of opportunity = service, dynamic dropdown shows the sales stages that start with "serv_".

Problem: But now, I cannot create a kanban view using this dynamic dropdown.

Goal: - Use 1 dynamic dropdown to create 2 kanban views. - 1 view will have columns that start with "soft_" - 1 view will have columns that start with "serv_" I am aware that you can choose which options in a static dropdown to create the kanban view. I just want to do the same using a dynamic dropdown.

I hope this makes sense. And thank you in advance!

    Hi,

Thank you for your detailed explanation. We’d like to confirm our understanding.

Our understanding: You have an Opportunity Type field (Software / Service). Based on this selection, your dynamic dropdown displays relevant Sales Stages: 1. Software → soft_discovery, soft_contract 1. Service → serv_discovery, serv_contract You would like to use this same dynamic dropdown to create two separate Kanban views: 1. One for soft_ stages 1. One for serv_ stages

Regarding your requirement: Currently, the Kanban view works with a static dropdown field. This means: It can display all defined stage values as columns. However, it does not support dynamically changing columns based on another field (like Opportunity Type) at runtime.

To achieve your goal, customization will be required. To better understand your current setup and suggest the most efficient solution, it would be helpful if you could provide server access. If server access is not feasible, we would appreciate a comprehensive video demonstration illustrating the current workflow of Opportunities. Please include how dynamic fields are used within Opportunities and how you are utilizing the Kanban view.

Please share the details at: info@helfertech.com

Looking forward to your response. Regards, Helfertech
