#5896 - Installation fails with copy() error message

Closed Installation created by crmspace GmbH 3 weeks ago

Hi there, we tried to to install this addon on behalf of a customer, but encountered multiple times the same issue during the installation. We've tested the installation with Suite 7.14.7 and 7.15. In total, we have tested with 4 different environments.

In all scenarios, directly after uploading the zip file (SugarChimp-10.2.0-for-SuiteCRM.zip), the installation stops with an error:

Issue with the manifest File Issues manifest.php Invalid usage of a function copy()

suitecrm.log does not include any noteworthy messages, so pls advise on how to continue here.

Found a possible solution by adding an exception for the copy method to the config. But the installation file seems to be incompatible with 7.14.7/default config.

Just wanted to loop back up with you. I don't yet have more information, but I did want to let you know our team is still looking into this issue.

Hi Heidi, as said, we were able to install the addon in the end, it simply required to allow the copy() command from the config. But to avoid this problem with other customers, the installation process should be refactored and tested with a recent suite version.

Thanks for this insight. We did check with SuiteCRM and are working with them on a solution for going forward. I'll close this out for now.
