For Example Can an instance be placed into The Layout like in Edit View in the Studio??? If not where would it be applied?? My interest would be to have something like this in an area very similar to how cases work.

Thank you for contacting us. You will have configuration screen in admin area, where you can enable the collaboration module and notification settings. Here is the documentation The collaboration will be shown in the detail-view of the record only.
