#333 - Unusual behaviour with MailChimp module in SuiteCRM 7.8

Closed Bug? created by JDenton 6 years ago

I am using a free trial of your SugarChimp plug-in to see if it provides my client with all the requisite functionality. I have successfully installed and linked to the client's MC. I can see SugarChimp in the side panel when I open it. I can move between the options of SugarChimp configuration, Health Status, Field Mapping and Campaign report summary.

If I go to the drop down ALL which shows modules and select SUgarChimp I get an error pop-up which is blank. It does say if errors persists disable Ajax for this module

There is a module within the ALL drop down called MailChimp Activities which takes me to two options - one of which is called MailChimp reports and when clicking this, I get back to the SugarChimp Campaign summary reports.

Is there any reason why this behaviour happens and how can I fix it so that the SugarChimp module remains available to me?

Cheers,

john

    Hello,

MailChimp Activities is the module that you'll need to use as you view and save MailChimp Activities with SugarChimp Pro or Ultimate. The List view will populate and hold the Activities once they are saved within Sugar. However, there is not supposed to be anything on the home view for SugarChimp. It should not be showing in your module list by default. This is the intended behavior as most Sugar Users do not need the module, and is only meant to be accessed from the admin panel.

In admin, you can scroll down to the SugarChimp section and see those same view options as they are intended. Once on a page, you can then switch between SugarChimp views using the panel. If you click 'SugarChimp' from here, you will see that same error. This is just a bug in Sugar6 that we cannot work around. All other pages should still be working as intended.

Let me know if that clears it up or if you have any more questions.

    Thanks! Jon
