#1561 - Mailchimp Activity

Closed Feature created by mrigbywhite 6 years ago

Hi, I am little bit confused by your module. everything works well apart from viewing the mailchimp 'history' on a contact level. I've used your connector setup guide and whilst this does work, it's not ideal as it doesn't actually pull in the activity into the CRM as expected. Is there anyway to get clicks / opens or at least record the fact a marketing email was sent in the 'History' subpanel. I also note there is a 'MAILCHIMP ACTIVITIES' page, but this is completely blank. It allows me 'create' activities, but I would imagine this is supposed to show all activity for contacts?.. It just seems like in theory this 'should' work.. but it just doesn't... Your documentation isn't too clear on this and seems like the only way to view it via the dashlet which isn't particularly helpful.. For example, the way this should be used is in the CRM we need to make a list of all people that have clicked on the email and create Tasks for them.. If the data isn't in the CRM, how do we do this?

Thanks for reaching out. It sounds like you need the MailChimp Activities saved in Suite so that you can report on them and manipulate the data as needed. This is a feature you are subscribed to and should be working. We have had an issue surrounding this activities that has been fixed recently. I do not believe the hotfix has been uploaded to the stores yet, but can you please download this version here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/coifdbnx46bq6jk/SugarChimp-8.2.1-for-SuiteCRM.zip?dl=0

You can install it over the previous version through Admin > Module Loader. There is no need to uninstall the old version. After that, can you verify a couple of things: 1. SugarChimp should bring in all MailChimp Activities from the last 30 days on your MailChimp Account for sends, opens, and clicks. Ongoing, SugarChimp will only bring in Activities from campaigns sent to synced MailChimp Lists. 2. In MailChimp, can you go to your synced MailChimp List > Settings > Webhooks. Is your SuiteCRM url showing there?

If you are sending campaigns to a synced MailChimp List that has the webhook installed on it, then we expect to see the send activities showing up fairly quickly after the campaign is sent. Let me know what you find.

    Thanks, Heidi

Hi again, despite trying your recommended fix I can confirm the Mailchimp Activities are not being pulled in to SuiteCRM as you've advised should be the case.

And yes, the suite CRM url is showing as a webhook... [URL]/index.php?module=SugarChimp&entryPoint=SugarChimpWebhook

Hi again, I've just worked out that the reason this wasn't working was because whilst the webhook existed we hadn't updated the domain to point to our dev. version of the CRM. Once this was updated all the activities imported in.. Which is perfect. Your fix works.

For anyone else reading, you might also find this thread helpful; https://www.sugaroutfitters.com/support/SugarChimp/924. It allows you to take that imported in data and show it as a sub-panel under an individual contact which is EXACTLY what we were trying to achieve.

    Thank you.

I have the same issue but for lead module. Can we have all history (Subject of email, Staus, Clicks etc... ) from Mailchimp in activities or history tab in Leads?
