This might be an enhancement request, but might already be possible??
Approval Process Action on Approval - it is very useful to be able to update a Field of parent module on approval. For the approval of employee vacation i have two fields associated with a vacation request - Approved By and Approved Date. The Action on Approval can update a field but the date field is fixed i.e. set 'Approved Date' to be '01/01/22' an the Relate Record 'Approved By' is not available to set.
Ideally it could work in a similar way to a workflow :- Approval_Date = Today and Approved_By = The identity of the Approver from the Approval Record?
Thus I can easily see who approved a vacation request and when the approved the vacation.
Or have I missed a simple way of achieving this?

Thank you for the suggestion. The work around could be to use workflow to set the Approved_by field when the Approval request get approved.
